The Vello BG-C9 battery grip is designed specifically for the Canon 5D mark III SLR camera. It accepts up to two LP-E6 batteries (not included) - effectively doubling the battery life. Alternatively, the included AA battery holder offers the option of using six AA batteries for added convenience. The BG-C9 is equipped with an alternate shutter-release button, AF start button, AF point selection, AE lock/FE lock button, multi controller button, multi function button and main dial for shooting in a vertical position.
