History
Harold's Photo is a four-generation, family-run business that celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2010. In 1910 Emil Hanson, purchased a single portrait studio in downtown Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In 1938 Emil's two sons, Howard and Harold, opened an additional camera store and portrait studio under the name of Harold's. The business continued to grow with another retail location and a wholesale color photofinishing lab. Then, in the late 1960s, their sons joined the company, and over the ensuing years multiple locations were added.
Today Harold's Photo Experts includes two retail locations (Sioux Falls, SD - Sioux City, IA), a central processing/production lab, warehouse and classroom facility.
