    Description

    I just purchased a collection of Japanese obi sashes and kimonos at a local estate here in Central Virginia.  This auction is for a silk brocade obi, featuring a repeating subdued pattern of green hills and flowers created with gold and copper threading on cream background.
    The back side of the obi has a white lining running the full length of 13 1/4 ft.  The obi is 12" in width.  It is in good vintage condition, without rips or loss to the design, but there are a few light stains on the lining and two smudges on the decorative side.
    It has been folded as stored. I have little experience with these beautiful pieces of art, but am happy to a
