    Description

    I just purchased a collection of Japanese obi sashes at a local estate here in Central Virginia.  This auction is for a silk brocade obi, featuring a repeating flower pattern in rich orange on an ivory satin background with heavy gold threading trim.
    Both sides of the obi have the same pattern for the full length of 10 3/4 feet, ending in 4" border with gold ribbon.  The obi is 8 3/4" in width.  It is in excellent condition and has been folded in storage.  I have little experience with these beautiful pieces of art, but am happy to answer any questions.  Please check my other listings this week for more selections from this collection.
