    Description

Custom built two tiered brewing stand with Hot Liquor Tank, Blichmann Mash Tun with false bottom, 15 gallon Blichmann Boil Kettle with whirlpool capability, Blichmann Hop Blocker, 2 Blichmann propane burners, Blichmann Therminator wort chiller, March Pump with valve, wort hoses and stainless steel quick disconnects.
This was really fun to build and its really enjoyable to brew beer with this system. However, I have retired from brewing beer. The system was built around 2 Blichmann propane burners with individual gas valves to control the flame independently under the Hot Liquor Tank and the Boil Kettle. The brewing stand is super strong because its made from galvanized steel super struts. It can easily handle the weight of all of the pots when they are all full. The stand can be disassembled if needed because it’s bolted together. The whole thing is on fat tires so it can be rolled around when needed. You can put wooden blocks under it for extra peace of mind while brewing but the wheels are also rated to handle the full load. I just put brand new wheels on it because the originals had dried out and cracked.
This system was designed to be very versatile. It uses gravity to move hot water from the HLT to the Mash Tun when sparging and includes a rotating stainless steel sparge arm. There is a March pump for recirculating your wort through the mash and for transferring the wort to the boil kettle. I also use the March pump for whirl pooling at the end of the boil. I have added an extra valve to the boil kettle for whirl pooling. At knock out I use the pump to move the finished wort through the Blichmann Therminator to my fermentor.
You can easily do back to back brews with this set up, I have done step-mashing, decoction brewing and fresh hop beers with it as well. This system was designed for someone who wants to have a number of different styles of beer on tap at once rather than 20 gallons of one style of beer. But you can do a back to back batch of the same beer with minimal effort. The best part is that it is designed to be easily cleaned in place (CIP) using the pump. All of the hoses are durable thermoplastic and there are stainless steel quick disconnects on all hoses, kettles, pump and chiller. So you can easily redirect the flow from any point in the process however needed.
I have always stored the kettles, pump, hoses and wort chiller indoors. Everything is clean and working great. The brewstand has always been outside under a tarp. All the kettles, hoses, pump and wort chiller have always been cleaned after each batch with PBW and Starsan.
