The blue standard cable is a replacement for the cable that comes with the Etymotic ER2SE and ER2XR.
Etymotic utilizes an MMCX connector with a special “key” that helps lock the cable in place and protects the integrity of the connector.
This cable may also be used with many other earphones that have MMCX connectors.
